A little bit of my story
ok, ok... a lot!
I started working in front of cameras and microphones as a teenager in the Dominican Republic, and went on to hosting TV shows, producing my own spaces, voicing commercials, emceeing national and international events, and even landing small roles in two movies. If it involved a camera or a microphone, I was there for it.
But, have you ever heard the phrase: "Life will test you giving you all together, or nothing at all"? Well, in 2014, life really tested me. At the peak of my career, I fell in love with a man thousands of miles away and made the boldest decision of my life: I chose love. I packed up everything I knew and moved to Seattle to start over.
Reinventing yourself in a new country is no small thing. But I went back to school, found my community, and became a mom to two wonderful niñosaurios (I mean... kids 😄). Slowly, I found my way back to what I love most: telling stories and connecting with people.
Today, from my studio Sixtalee Media, I work with clients all over the world.
My voice work includes commercials, audiobooks, political spots, corporate and industrial narration, dubbing, animated characters, and PSAs, in English, Spanish, or both. I've also been trusted by brands for on-camera work, and digital campaigns on social media aimed at the Latino community in the USA. I currently serve as a St. Jude Ambassador and I am also a long time volunteer in the non-profit Somos Mujeres Latinas, an amazing organization that strives to connect, educate and empower Latinas in Washington.
I also produce and host Gente, Historias y Emociones, my Spanish-language podcast about real life stories, recognized with a 2024 SOVAS Award for Outstanding All-Around Spanish Podcast, Producer and Host. 🏆
If it involves microphones, audiences, and cameras, I love it. Oh, and also plants, lots of indoor plants and fried chicken!
Anyways.... that was long, huh? Well, now you know how much I love stories. Ha!
